ARJAN JANSSEN, WAAR BEGINT DONKER EN HOE EINDIGT LICHT?
Where does darkness begin and how does light end?
In his drawings, paintings and installations, Arjan Janssen (NL) creates his own visual universe somewhere between black and white and occasionally with a touch of colour. He seems to want to free himself from the so-called reality and creates an abstract reality, a unique, individual aesthetic. By creating a structure of black and white surfaces as well as signs, a certain impossibility is repeatedly being made visible: a darkness that may be light enough.
