Eye problems have dominated Stefaan Vermuyten's life since childhood. Yet, he is determined to become an artist. In the 1990s, he put his artistic dreams on hold and became a piano tuner, but made his comeback a few years later. His art is a patchwork of images, figures, and shadows. Flirting with abstraction is a constant in his work.
